The cast drama around The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has moved from Hulu-adjacent chaos to the tiny, ruthless battlefield of the Instagram follow list.
Several women connected to the reality series have unfollowed Taylor Frankie Paul, according to TMZ, after fans spotted a cluster of social media cuts this week. The fan account themormonwivesreport also highlighted the activity on Instagram, prompting viewers to speculate about a wider rift inside the group.
TMZ reported one key detail behind the cleanup: Paul had already unfollowed the women months earlier. The recent activity appears to be those cast members returning the favor, with TMZ noting that Paul’s close ally Jessi Draper was the exception.
Miranda Hope and Layla Taylor addressed the situation publicly, according to TMZ, explaining why they eventually removed Paul from their own follow lists after leaving the connection in place for months.
Hope said it “didn’t make sense to keep investing in something one-sided,” TMZ reported. Her comment suggested she viewed Paul’s earlier unfollow as a sign the friendship had already faded.
The Instagram moves come during a messy public stretch for Paul and the show’s orbit. TMZ previously reported that Paul called out former SLOMW cast member Whitney Leavitt after Leavitt appeared to unfollow her. According to TMZ, Paul accused Leavitt of preying on her downfall.
No reconciliation has been announced among the women named in the latest round of unfollows. TMZ described the online moves as raising fresh questions among fans about whether the cast relationships can be repaired as their group dynamics continue to shift in public.
There is also a production wrinkle. TMZ previously reported, citing sources, that Paul filmed the opening credits for the current season of the Hulu series. Those sources told TMZ she is not expected to film anything else for the season.
That means viewers should not expect a final confessional from Paul, according to TMZ’s reporting.
For now, the only confirmed action is digital: follows have disappeared, explanations have been limited, and the cast’s social media map looks very different than it did before. In reality TV terms, that may be a small click. For fans tracking every move, it is the kind of click that says plenty.
