Robin Givens is joining Cross season 3 in a recurring role, with Deadline reporting on July 24 that the actor will play Senator Mulrooney on the Prime Video crime drama.
The character is described in Deadline’s report as an intellectual conservative who can be domineering in her family life. Mulrooney is married to a doctor and has a son whose difficulties she works to keep out of public view, according to the report.
Givens’ casting adds another political figure to the Washington, D.C.-set series, which is built around Alex Cross, the detective and forensic psychologist played by Aldis Hodge.
