A Soulja Boy DNA test request is now at the center of the rapper’s court fight with ex Jackilyn Martinez, who is seeking support for 3-year-old KeAndre Cortez Way, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

TMZ reports that Soulja Boy told the court he is unsure whether he is KeAndre’s father. The filing comes after Martinez brought a lawsuit against him in late 2025 asking the court to address custody and child support.

According to TMZ, the rapper’s paperwork asks for DNA testing to settle the paternity question. The documents also show he indicated he would share pregnancy-related costs and legal expenses if the test determines he is the child’s father.

Why does Soulja Boy want a DNA test?

According to the court documents cited by TMZ, Soulja Boy is asking for testing because he is not certain he is KeAndre’s biological father. The result could affect the court’s handling of child support and costs connected to the case.

Martinez’s lawsuit, first reported by TMZ, asked the court to grant her custody of KeAndre. She also proposed that Soulja Boy receive visitation, according to the filing described by the outlet.

TMZ reports that Martinez told the court Soulja Boy sometimes sent money, but only after she asked him for it. She is seeking a court order requiring him to pay child support.

The dispute has also included a sharply worded email Martinez says Soulja Boy sent to her lawyers. According to TMZ, Martinez attached an email to her filing in which the sender wrote: "Stop emailing me, you dumb bitch. There will be no litigation or settlement idk who the f*** u think u talking to."

The case remains active, according to TMZ.

What has Jackilyn Martinez asked the court to do?

Martinez is asking for custody of KeAndre and child support, TMZ reports. Her proposal would allow Soulja Boy visitation if the court accepts that arrangement.

Soulja Boy’s latest filing does not end the case. It asks the judge to order testing before the paternity issue is treated as settled, according to the documents described by TMZ.

The rapper, whose legal name is DeAndre Cortez Way, has not been reported by TMZ as issuing a separate public statement on the latest DNA test request beyond the court filing.
