The Strange New Worlds season 4 sneak peek arrived Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con, giving Star Trek fans an early look at what Paramount+ has lined up after the new season’s July 23 launch.
Deadline reported that Akiva Goldsman, co-showrunner and executive producer on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, used the Comic-Con spotlight to preview what is ahead for the rest of the season. Paramount+ also posted a Season 4 sneak peek video tied to SDCC 2026 on YouTube.
New installments of the series are being released weekly on Thursdays, with the run scheduled to continue through Sept. 24, according to Deadline.
What is in Strange New Worlds season 4?
Season 4 follows the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, led by Captain Christopher Pike, as they keep heading into unknown territory while facing threats from outside the ship and struggles within themselves, Deadline reported.
The season is also playing with a broad mix of genre formats. Deadline said the new episodes include western, horror and disaster-movie setups, along with puppet-based scenes. That puts the Enterprise crew through more than the usual starship tension, with the show shifting style as the season goes on.
The character threads are moving, too. Deadline reported that La’an’s relationship with Spock continues, Pike is dealing with life after Batel, and Scotty and Oregas are seeing a relationship begin to take shape.
Who stars in season 4?
The Season 4 cast includes Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun and Martin Quinn, according to Deadline.
Carol Kane and Paul Wesley are also listed as guest stars for the season.
The series is made by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners.
The executive producer team for Season 4 includes Alex Kurtzman, Goldsman, Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Alan McElroy, Robbie Thompson, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Anson Mount, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth, Deadline reported.
