Terry Dubrow is turning a Real Housewives money jab into a six-figure challenge.
The “Botched” doctor told TMZ outside Steak 48 in Beverly Hills on Monday that he is willing to wager $100,000 against Vicki Gunvalson over her claim about how he and Heather Dubrow built their fortune.
According to TMZ, Gunvalson has said Terry and Heather did not earn their wealth through work, and instead inherited it from Terry’s late brother, Kevin. Terry and Heather dispute that claim, the outlet reported.
In video published by TMZ, Terry said he believes he can prove Gunvalson wrong and put $100,000 behind that position. The challenge was aimed at Gunvalson, a “Real Housewives of Orange County” star who has been publicly questioning the Dubrows’ money story, according to TMZ.
A reality-TV money fight gets a price tag
The dispute centers on a direct allegation about the couple’s finances. Gunvalson’s claim, as reported by TMZ, is that the Dubrows’ wealth came from inheritance connected to Kevin Dubrow, not from their own careers.
Terry’s response was equally direct. Rather than only deny the allegation, he framed it as something he says can be settled with proof, and with a $100,000 bet attached.
TMZ reported that Terry made the comments after being approached outside the Beverly Hills restaurant. The outlet described him as having plenty to say about Gunvalson’s remarks, and said he was confident he could back up his side of the dispute.
Heather Dubrow, Terry’s wife, is also part of the allegation because Gunvalson’s claim involved the couple’s shared wealth. TMZ reported that the Dubrows say Gunvalson is wrong.
