Toni Collette and Karren Karagulian join Netflix caper Positano
Deadline reports five actors have boarded Daniel Roher’s Italian-set Netflix film, led by Matthew McConaughey and Zoe Saldaña.

Toni Collette and Karren Karagulian are headed for the Amalfi Coast, at least on screen.
Deadline reports that Netflix’s romantic crime caper Positano, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Daniel Roher, has added five actors to its cast: Collette, Karagulian, Salvatore Esposito, Michele Savoia and Lorenzo de Moor.
The new group joins previously announced stars Matthew McConaughey and Zoe Saldaña. According to Deadline, the film centers on a charismatic jewel thief who walks away from a cushy life and ends up helping an enigmatic woman as the pair scheme over a major heist with stakes beyond cash.
Netflix has not revealed the roles Collette, Karagulian, Esposito, Savoia and de Moor will play, Deadline reported.
Who is making Positano
Roher is directing from a screenplay by Alessandro Tanaka and Brian Gatewood. Deadline identified Roher as the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind recent titles including Tuner and The AI Doc.
The film is being produced by Working Title’s Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan, along with Derrin Schlesinger. Amelia Granger and Katherine Pomfret are executive producing for Working Title, with Tanaka and Gatewood also listed as executive producers, according to Deadline.
For Netflix, the package brings together a glossy location, a heist setup and a cast stacked with prestige-film and international TV names.
The cast’s recent work
Collette arrives with a busy run behind and ahead of her. Deadline noted her recent credits include Netflix’s Wayward, Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17 and Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2. Her upcoming projects include Morten Tyldum’s drama Ibelin, Fangs with Joel Edgerton, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Netflix thriller 2034, which has an AI theme. She is represented by CAA, United Management, Finley Management and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Karagulian is best known for his work with Sean Baker, including Anora and Red Rocket. Deadline reports he is next set for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, David Fincher’s follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, as well as Amazon MGM’s holiday action comedy The Man with the Bag. He is represented by Buchwald, Curate and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis.
Esposito’s credits include Gomorrah, Den of Thieves: Pantera and Season 4 of Fargo. Deadline says he will next appear in Maserati: The Brothers alongside Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Andy Garcia and Jessica Alba. He is represented by TT Agency and Vault Entertainment.
Savoia, seen in Michael Mann’s Ferrari, is represented by C.D.A. Studio Di Nardo and Red Talent Management, according to Deadline.
De Moor’s recent credits include You, Me & Tuscany and Another Simple Favor. Deadline reports his upcoming slate includes Maserati: The Brothers, the Cliffhanger reboot and Mel Gibson’s The Resurrection of the Christ: Part Two. He is represented by Volver Actor and 42.
