Josh Duhamel’s Los Angeles place did not linger. Realtor.com reported that the actor’s $2.99 million Encino home went under contingent offer less than two weeks after it hit the market on June 25.

Property records cited by Realtor.com show the 53-year-old “Ransom Canyon” star bought the ranch-style home in 2017 for $2.65 million. The final offer price has not been disclosed, so any profit depends on where the deal lands.

The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom property is listed with Thomas Atamian of Coldwell Banker Realty. Realtor.com said the home was Duhamel’s primary residence for years, though he has lately spent more time in Fargo, North Dakota, the hometown of his wife, Audra Mari, where the couple also owns a home.

Pool, sauna and big valley views

The Encino property sits on a little more than one-third of an acre and measures 3,310 square feet, according to the listing details reported by Realtor.com.

Outside, the home comes with a pool, spa, fire pit, built-in barbecue area, private sauna and multiple spaces for outdoor dining and lounging. The listing also highlights wide “jetliner” and mountain views from much of the property.

Atamian said in a statement that the home’s placement is its standout feature, giving it mountain and city views from nearly every angle. He described the listing as a rare mix of privacy, architectural drama and modern updates in a prime location.

Inside, the house has an open layout with large window walls, a great room connected to the kitchen, dining and living areas, and glass doors that open to the yard. The primary suite also opens toward the pool area and includes two walk-in closets, one with a built-in vanity, according to the listing.

The home was built in 1962 and, according to the listing description, was designed with an architectural style inspired by Philippe Starck. The description says the property had major renovations in 2023, including refinished hardwood floors, fresh interior paint, new carpet and a remodeled guest bathroom.

More time off the grid

The listing comes during a busy family stretch for Duhamel. Realtor.com reported that he and Mari welcomed daughter Rocca in May, their second child together. Duhamel also has son Axl with ex-wife Fergie, and he and Mari share son Shepherd.

Duhamel has spoken publicly about spending more time at his rural Minnesota cabin, just across the border from North Dakota. In an October 2023 video tour with YouTube host Graham Bensinger, he said his father first showed him the land, which began as a 12-acre purchase around 18 years ago and has since grown to roughly 50 acres.

During that tour, Duhamel described himself as a “doomsday prepper” and said the property includes survival-minded features such as three wells and food plots, including clover and chicory, used to attract game.

He told Country Living in April 2025 that the cabin had no plumbing for years, with the family using outhouses and washing dishes in the lake. He said improvements have since been made, while the place still feels rugged.

On Dana Carvey and David Spade’s “Fly on the Wall” podcast, Duhamel said his stress drops when he is at the Minnesota property and that working on the land has become a passion. In March, he told E! News the family spends time in both Los Angeles and the Upper Midwest, giving the children two very different ways of life.
