Trump Media & Technology Group is preparing to sell Wall Street a speedier look at Truth Social posts, including from accounts such as President Donald Trump’s, whose online comments are closely watched by traders.
The company said Thursday that its new licensed data product, called Truth API, is designed for financial-services partners and will provide real-time access to posts from the platform’s most influential accounts. Trump Media said it expects the feed to be available to customers beginning Aug. 1.
The pitch is aimed at institutional users who want a faster read on posts that can affect trading. MarketWatch reported that Trump often uses Truth Social to announce policy decisions and make comments that can influence stocks and energy markets.
Kevin McGurn, Trump Media’s interim chief executive, framed the product as a potential moneymaker for the company.
“Markets already move on Truth Social posts,” McGurn said in the company’s announcement. “As adoption grows, we expect Truth API to become a meaningful, ongoing source of revenue for the company.”
The service adds a new line of business for Trump Media, whose best-known asset is Truth Social. The company did not disclose pricing in the announcement cited by MarketWatch.
Trump’s stake remains central
Trump is the largest shareholder of Trump Media, according to MarketWatch. He owns 41% of the company through a revocable trust, and he is the trust’s sole beneficiary.
That ownership gives the rollout a sharper edge: the company is seeking to sell fast access to data from a platform where the president’s own posts are among the main draws for market participants.
Truth Social has become one of Trump’s main public megaphones. The planned data feed would package posts from high-profile accounts into a product for professional customers who trade on timely information.
A broader push beyond social media
The data-feed plan is part of a wider expansion effort at Trump Media, according to MarketWatch. The company has also announced a merger with a nuclear-fusion company.
That deal had been expected to close in mid-2026, MarketWatch reported. Trump Media said last month that it now expects the merger to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026 or earlier.
The company has also taken other steps to broaden its business. MarketWatch reported that Trump Media has moved into bitcoin holdings and has pursued exchange-traded funds alongside a crypto partner.
For now, Truth API is the newest bet: a licensed pipe from Truth Social to financial firms that want posts as quickly as the company can deliver them.
