SportsLine’s 2026 fantasy football rankings are out with a top 150, draft strategy and a pair of boom-or-bust names for managers who like a little spice: Packers wide receiver Christian Watson and Giants running back Cam Skattebo.

CBS Sports’ Daniel Kohn reported that the draft guide was prepared by SportsLine fantasy analysts R.J. White and Josh Nagel. The package covers non-PPR, half-PPR and full-PPR formats, plus snake drafts, salary cap drafts, auction values, keeper advice, rookies, sleepers, breakouts and busts.

White is described by SportsLine as its No. 1 NFL expert since 2017 and is CBS Sports’ managing editor of fantasy and betting content. Nagel is SportsLine’s longtime assistant managing editor and a fantasy football veteran, according to CBS Sports.

Who are the 2026 fantasy football breakouts?

SportsLine’s guide highlights Watson and Skattebo as breakout candidates, with injuries serving as the big warning label on both players. The appeal is clear enough: each has shown production when available, and each could become a major value if health finally cooperates.

Watson, now 27, has averaged 17 yards per catch across 48 NFL games, including 45 starts, according to CBS Sports. He has scored 20 touchdowns in that span, but he has not played a full 17-game season through his first four years.

The Green Bay receiver’s late-season flash in 2025 is a major part of the case. CBS Sports reported that Watson scored four touchdowns over his final five games and had 11 explosive plays on 35 catches, with a season-long reception of 52 yards.

One game stood out: Watson caught four passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ 28-21 win over the Chicago Bears on Dec. 7, according to the report.

White said in the guide that Watson hit career-best per-game marks in receptions, yards and touchdowns last season, while noting that missed time remains the concern. White also said Watson played at least 60% of Green Bay’s snaps in all but one of the team’s final nine games after returning in Week 8.

Skattebo’s case is built on a short rookie-year sample with the Giants. CBS Sports reported that he played eight games in 2025 before fracturing his leg, finishing with 101 carries for 410 yards and five rushing touchdowns.

He also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns, giving fantasy managers a glimpse of a back who could matter in both the running and passing games. Against the Eagles on Oct. 9, Skattebo ran 19 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-17 Giants win, according to CBS Sports.

White said Skattebo finished as a top-nine running back in PPR leagues on a per-game basis last year, despite limited work in his debut and in the game when he was injured. In the six-game stretch between those two outings, White said Skattebo’s pace over a 17-game season would have reached 1,136 rushing yards, 502 receiving yards, 60 catches and 17 total touchdowns.
