2026 Rocket Classic odds: Young favored as model fades Koivun

Cameron Young sits atop the 2026 Rocket Classic odds as the PGA Tour heads to Detroit Golf Club with only two regular-season events left before the FedEx Cup Playoffs, according to odds listed by FanDuel Sportsbook and reported by CBS Sports.
Young is priced at +1200, meaning a $100 winning bet would return $1,200 in profit. Jackson Koivun, Xander Schauffele and Chris Gotterup are next at +2000, with Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy not in the field, CBS Sports reported.
The tournament begins Thursday at Detroit Golf Club. CBS Sports said SportsLine’s golf model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, ran the event 10,000 times before releasing its projections.
Who is favored in the 2026 Rocket Classic odds?
FanDuel’s board has Young as the favorite at +1200. Koivun, Schauffele and Gotterup follow at +2000, while Wyndham Clark and Si Woo Kim are listed at +2200.
Russell Henley and Patrick Cantlay are both priced at +2500. Hideki Matsuyama, Ben Griffin, Jake Knapp and J.J. Spaun are grouped at +3000, according to the FanDuel numbers cited by CBS Sports.
Sports betting odds can change before tee time and during tournament week. A lower plus-number signals a shorter price and a stronger implied chance than a longer number, such as +5000 or +100000.
SportsLine model cools on Jackson Koivun
Koivun arrives with fresh buzz after winning the 3M Open, where CBS Sports reported he shot four rounds of 68 or better and fired a 61 on Saturday to move past Scheffler and others.
SportsLine’s model is not treating him like a top-tier play this week. CBS Sports reported the model has Koivun barely inside the top 10 at the Rocket Classic and labels him a golfer to fade at his current price.
The caution comes with a recent blemish on the card: CBS Sports noted that Koivun, a 23-year-old PGA Tour rookie from Auburn, missed the cut at the John Deere Classic a few weeks before his 3M Open win.
Why the model likes J.J. Spaun
Spaun is the name getting the warmer treatment from SportsLine’s projection. CBS Sports reported the model is high on him at +3000, pointing to his season outside the majors and his place at 20th in the FedEx Cup Playoff standings.
According to CBS Sports, Spaun has four top-10 finishes this season. He did not play this tournament last year, but had two top-10 finishes at the Rocket Classic in the previous three years.
SportsLine’s model also points to an unnamed longshot around +3500 as a player who could climb the leaderboard, CBS Sports reported, though the full projected leaderboard is behind SportsLine’s picks page.
CBS Sports said the same model has correctly identified 17 major winners entering the weekend, including the 2026 Masters, its fifth straight Masters call, along with last year’s PGA Championship and Open Championship.
Other notable prices listed by FanDuel include Akshay Bhatia at +3500, Michael Thorbjornsen and Nicolai Højgaard at +4000, Rickie Fowler and Harris English at +4500, and Brooks Koepka at +5000.
