A full 15-game MLB slate is on deck for July 20, and SportsLine’s Mike McClure has put Washington shortstop CJ Abrams near the front of his daily Fantasy baseball recommendations.

CBS Sports reported that the first games are scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET, with the final first pitch listed for 10:10 p.m. ET. The slate includes a National League matchup featuring Freddy Peralta with the New York Mets against Jacob Misiorowski and the Milwaukee Brewers, according to CBS Sports.

McClure, described by SportsLine as a daily Fantasy professional with more than $2 million in career winnings, is also a predictive data engineer for the site. SportsLine says his model simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times while factoring in matchups, statistical trends and injuries.

Abrams leads the highlighted plays

For Monday’s DraftKings and FanDuel contests, McClure’s listed selections include Abrams at $6,400 on DraftKings and $4,300 on FanDuel, according to CBS Sports.

The Nationals shortstop has played 96 games and is batting .277 with 19 doubles, two triples, 21 home runs and 70 RBIs, CBS Sports reported. The site called Abrams one of Washington’s top hitters.

McClure is pairing that Washington interest with first baseman Andres Chaparro, who is priced at $3,300 on DraftKings and $3,100 on FanDuel, according to CBS Sports.

Chaparro’s recent line got a loud mention: CBS Sports reported that he went 4-for-5 with two home runs, eight RBIs and a walk in Washington’s 23-4 win over the Athletics on Friday. Across 33 games this season, he has three doubles, three homers and 15 RBIs, according to the report.

Big names fill the player pool

CBS Sports identified several other prominent options available in the MLB DFS pool for the slate, though McClure’s full rankings and lineup builds are posted at SportsLine.

  • Jacob Misiorowski
  • Dylan Cease
  • Freddy Peralta
  • Yordan Alvarez
  • Kyle Schwarber
  • James Wood
  • Mike Trout
  • Elly De La Cruz
  • Bryce Harper
  • Julio Rodriguez

SportsLine also said McClure is targeting another player because of a favorable matchup, but that pick was not disclosed in the CBS Sports write-up beyond a link to SportsLine’s paid DFS content.

The advice is aimed at users building lineups under DraftKings and FanDuel salary caps, where roster choices are shaped by pricing as much as player form. McClure’s full set of picks, rankings, stacks and lineup advice is available through SportsLine, according to CBS Sports.
