Monday’s MLB DFS picks July 27 from SportsLine’s Mike McClure put Yankees first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and Red Sox third baseman Caleb Durbin front and center for DraftKings and FanDuel players.
The slate is a busy one: CBS Sports reports that Major League Baseball has 12 games scheduled for Monday, with all but one starting at 6:40 p.m. ET or later. For daily Fantasy players hunting run-scoring spots, CBS Sports points to Blue Jays at Nationals, a game listed with a 10-run over/under.
The same report says Washington enters with the highest-scoring team in baseball. At the other end of the run-total board, CBS Sports lists Phillies vs. Marlins at 7.5 runs, with Zack Wheeler scheduled to pitch for Philadelphia.
Who are the top MLB DFS picks for July 27?
McClure’s highlighted plays include Caleb Durbin, priced at $3,300 on DraftKings and $2,900 on FanDuel, according to SportsLine. CBS Sports says McClure views Durbin as part of Boston’s recent surge, with his production rising in June and July.
The matchup is a big piece of the case. McClure’s analysis points to the Athletics’ pitching staff and starter Jack Perkins, who is listed with a 6.75 ERA, as the reason Durbin stands out at his salary.
Goldschmidt is another core option in McClure’s Monday player pool. SportsLine lists the Yankees first baseman at $3,700 on DraftKings and $3,300 on FanDuel.
According to CBS Sports, McClure is interested in Goldschmidt because of his success against left-handed pitching and his matchup with White Sox lefty Noah Schultz. Schultz is listed with a 6.04 ERA on the season.
