The latest Nikola Jokic horse headline did not come from an NBA arena. ESPN reported Monday that Delicious Gar, a horse owned by the Denver Nuggets star, won the Dužijanca harness race over the weekend at the Subotica Hippodrome in Serbia.
According to ESPN, Delicious Gar finished well in front of the rest of the field. The win set off a lively celebration for Jokic, who was shown celebrating with friends and family and opening a bottle of champagne after the race.
The Nuggets also joined the fun. Denver’s official account on X posted video of the race Sunday night and wrote that “Nikola’s horse” had won the top Serbian race, crediting Arena Sport TV in the post.
