The Brewers host the Rockies in the series opener at 4:10 p.m. ET, an earlier-than-usual Friday start tied to Milwaukee's Alumni Legends Game and the ballpark's 25th anniversary celebration, according to CBS Sports.
Severance's recommended parlay includes the Brewers on the money line, under 1.5 runs in the first inning and an alternate under 10.5 runs for the game. CBS Sports listed the FanDuel same-game parlay price at +139.

The odds board cited by CBS Sports had Milwaukee as a -250 money-line favorite and Colorado at +210. The Brewers were listed at -1.5 on the run line at -115, while the Rockies were +1.5 at -102. The total was 8.5, with the over at -114 and the under at -102.
Milwaukee enters at 64-38, while Colorado is 41-63, according to the matchup information cited by CBS Sports. Severance also pointed to a sharp split in day games: the Brewers are 24-15 in afternoon starts, while the Rockies are 2-22.
Milwaukee has stayed in the National League's top-seed fight with the Dodgers, CBS Sports reported. After a 13-13 start, the Brewers have gone 51-25 since April 26, the best mark in MLB over that span, according to Severance.
The pitching matchup features Brewers left-hander Shane Drohan against Rockies right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano. Drohan is 5-3 with a 3.20 ERA, and CBS Sports described him as part of a patched-together Milwaukee rotation after injuries to Brandon Woodruff and Kyle Harrison and extra rest for Jacob Misiorowski.
Drohan, a 27-year-old rookie who arrived from Boston in a February trade, has logged three straight quality starts, according to CBS Sports. He has not allowed more than three earned runs in six straight appearances and has surrendered six home runs all season.

Sugano brings a strange betting wrinkle into the game. CBS Sports said he is the second-most profitable starting pitcher in the majors for money-line backers, with a $100 bet on Colorado in each of his 17 starts producing a $1,050 profit. Only Washington's Foster Griffin has been more profitable by that measure, according to Severance.
Sugano is 9-4 with a 4.76 ERA, and CBS Sports credited his betting value partly to strong run support, listed at 6.47 runs per game. Severance also noted that Sugano has been better at Coors Field, where he is 6-2 with a 4.15 ERA, than on the road, where he is 3-2 with a 5.32 ERA.
With Sugano on a one-year, low-cost deal, Severance expects Colorado to move him before the Aug. 3 trade deadline. Sugano has not faced Milwaukee this season, but CBS Sports said he pitched six innings of two-run ball in a no-decision against the Brewers in 2025 while with Baltimore.
