The Ty Simpson Rams contract is in, and that was the last box to check for the 2026 NFL Draft’s first round. CBS Sports reported that Simpson, the No. 13 pick, signed with Los Angeles on July 25, the same day the Rams reported to training camp.

According to CBS Sports, Simpson’s deal rounded out the full 32-player first-round group. No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza, another quarterback, had signed with the Raiders a few days earlier.

Spotrac projects Simpson’s four-year rookie contract at $25,412,508. CBS Sports listed all 32 first-round picks as signed.

Has Ty Simpson signed his Rams contract?

Yes. CBS Sports reported that Simpson signed on July 25, hours before training camp began for the Rams.

That timing matters because unsigned rookies can take part in minicamps and other offseason work, but CBS Sports noted that players need contracts in place once training camp arrives to avoid complications.

Why first-round rookie contracts usually move fast

Rookie deals are often straightforward because the 2011 NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement created a wage scale with set salary slots. CBS Sports cited Spotrac for the projected four-year figures tied to each first-round pick.

There can still be snags. CBS Sports pointed to Shemar Stewart’s holdout from the previous offseason as an example of a rookie deal becoming more complicated before it was resolved.
