Zuffa Boxing 10 results are in from Dublin, where Aaron McKenna became IBF middleweight champion with a unanimous-decision win over Etinosa Oliha and Callum Walsh recovered from an opening-round knockdown to beat Tyler Denny.
McKenna won the vacant 160-pound title in the Aug. 8 main event at 3Arena, taking all three judges’ cards: 118-110, 117-111 and 116-112, according to CBS Sports. It was the Irish fighter’s first world championship.
Oliha made a quick start, using his jab and right hand in a competitive early stretch, CBS Sports reported. McKenna began to establish his own jab from about the third round and increasingly controlled the range and physical exchanges over the remaining rounds.

McKenna and Oliha fought for a belt left vacant at middleweight. McKenna went the full 12 rounds and earned a clear unanimous decision, so he leaves Dublin with the IBF championship.
Walsh had a rougher route in the co-feature. He was officially ruled down in Round 1 after Denny landed punches while Walsh was bent at the waist, according to CBS Sports. Walsh answered in Round 2, flooring Denny with a counterpunch.
The middleweight contest then became a scrappy affair with frequent holding. Both boxers lost a point in Round 8, and Walsh was cut around his left eye following an accidental clash of heads, CBS Sports reported.
Walsh still took the unanimous decision by scores of 98-91, 98-91 and 96-90. No McKenna-Walsh fight has been announced; CBS Sports described that potential all-Irish matchup as speculation.
