Boston police are investigating after a body was found Saturday at a Mattapan property owned by Conan Harris, the husband of U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley, according to CBS News Boston.

Police spokesperson James Moccia told the station that officers were sent to 25 Malta Street at 1:52 p.m. for “a report to investigate a person.” When officers arrived, they found the person dead, Moccia said.

Moccia told CBS News Boston he did not have additional details. He said the Boston Police Department’s homicide unit is handling the investigation.

A Boston police cruiser was outside the home Saturday evening, according to CBS News Boston, and the property had been blocked off with red crime scene tape.

Property records list Conan Harris as owner

City of Boston property records list Harris as the owner of 25 Malta Street, CBS News Boston reported. The city records put the property’s assessed value at $919,000.

The home is a two-story, seven-bedroom property built in 1910, according to the station. CBS News Boston reported that the house is currently listed for sale with an asking price of $1.15 million.

Authorities did not release the name of the person found dead, and police did not provide details about the circumstances of the death in the information reported by CBS News Boston.

CBS News said it contacted Pressley’s office for comment and had not received a response.

Pressley has represented Massachusetts in Congress since 2019

Pressley, a Massachusetts Democrat, was first elected to Congress in 2018 after defeating longtime former Rep. Michael Capuano in a primary, according to CBS News Boston.
