Harry Kane’s World Cup scrapbook is already stuffed: 14 goals across three tournaments, according to Telemundo, and enough high-pressure memories to fill a dressing room wall.
The England forward was featured in a 2-minute, 31-second exclusive interview on Telemundo’s Vive el Mundial on July 18, 2026, as the network continued its coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Telemundo said Kane reflected on the emotions of England’s runs at Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022. The network also identified him as a Golden Boot winner and said he singled out a night at the Estadio Azteca, along with knockout-stage matches, during the interview.
England’s World Cup story rolls on
The Kane segment landed inside a broader run of Telemundo World Cup coverage focused heavily on England and France. Other videos promoted by the network said England were preparing for another meeting with France after being eliminated in Qatar.
Telemundo also framed the matchup as part of the closing stretch of the 2026 tournament, with one segment saying England had arrived in Miami to finish their World Cup campaign with a bronze medal at stake.
The network’s related coverage included match clips identifying England goals against France by Declan Rice and Ezri Konsa. Telemundo listed Rice’s strike as the opening goal for 0-1 and Konsa’s as the goal that made it 0-2.
England’s lineup choices were another thread in the coverage. A Telemundo video said Thomas Tuchel viewed changes to England’s starting XI for the France match as “sentido común,” or common sense.
France coverage also in the mix
France’s side of the story featured across the same World Cup page. Telemundo listed a segment in which Ibrahima Konaté said France would show its talent against England.
Another video centered on Guy Stéphan, who said many countries would have liked to be fighting for third place at the World Cup, according to Telemundo’s displayed title.
The network also promoted coverage calling the tournament the “last dance” for Didier Deschamps, with France seeking third place at the 2026 World Cup.
Beyond England and France, Telemundo’s World Cup programming included segments on Argentina, Spain, Lionel Messi, Lionel Scaloni, Luis de la Fuente, Rodri and Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez, as the competition moved toward its final weekend.
For Kane, though, the focus was personal history: three World Cups, 14 goals and the memory of major tournament nights that Telemundo said he revisited for Vive el Mundial.
