Macy’s Black Friday in July is giving shoppers a midsummer crack at holiday-style discounts, with NBC Selected reporting that the department store is offering up to 70% off through July 24.
The sale spans apparel, toys, skin care, fragrance and home goods, according to NBC Selected. The shopping site said the event includes brands such as Lego, Levi’s and Le Creuset, along with an additional 20% off designer clearance items.
NBC Selected, which says it independently chooses the products it covers and may earn a commission when readers buy through its links, highlighted several deals from the Macy’s event. Beauty shoppers also have a discounted Origins product in the mix. NBC Selected reported that Origins Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-Aging Face Cream is $54.60 at Macy’s, reduced from $78, a 30% cut. According to the brand details cited by NBC Selected, the cream includes hyaluronic acid and brown algae for hydration, SPF 25 sun protection and dill seed extract, which the brand says helps firmness and reduces the look of fine lines.
The kitchen counter gets a pricier markdown. NBC Selected listed the Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast Iron 6.5-Quart Round Dutch Oven at $289.95 at Macy’s, down from $460, or 37% off. Sur La Table had a near-identical deal at $289.96, down from $459.95, according to the shopping report.
Le Creuset says the Dutch oven is made to hold and spread heat evenly, works on all cooktops and can go in ovens up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, according to NBC Selected. The sale version highlighted by the site is in Riviera, described as one of the brand’s newer colors.
