A Bon Jovi MSG concert ended after about 90 minutes Thursday night when Jon Bon Jovi stopped the Madison Square Garden show and told the crowd he would try to make it up to them, according to Rolling Stone.
The frontman apologized from the stage and urged fans in the arena to keep their ticket stubs. In video shared online and cited by Rolling Stone, Bon Jovi told concertgoers he would “figure something out” and said the show could be rescheduled.
Bon Jovi also told the audience he had to stop for the night, while saying he felt good and expected to see them again soon. Before leaving, Rolling Stone reported, he hugged members of the band and gave the crowd a thumbs-up as fans cheered.
Why did Bon Jovi end his MSG concert early?
A representative for Bon Jovi told Rolling Stone that the singer had been dealing with a sinus infection, which caused the early ending. The spokesperson said Bon Jovi addressed fans directly from the stage and that more information would be released shortly.
The representative also pointed to the band’s Madison Square Garden residency, saying Jon Bon Jovi had repeatedly described returning to live performance as a joy for the group. No new date or ticket plan had been announced in the comments reported by Rolling Stone.

The Madison Square Garden performance was part of Bon Jovi’s Forever tour, which Rolling Stone reported began earlier in July. The run marked a return to the road after Jon Bon Jovi spent years away from touring following surgery for a strained vocal cord.
In a June interview with People, Bon Jovi said he was “fully recovered” from the vocal cord issue. He told the outlet the recovery took longer than he had expected, but said the timing had to be right and that faith in the comeback had remained.
Bon Jovi also credited his bandmates in that People interview for standing by him while he worked toward returning to the stage. He said they did not doubt him, retire, or seek other work, and described their support during rehearsals as meaningful to him.
