Bose SoundLink Micro drops below $100 in Amazon deal

The Bose SoundLink Micro portable speaker, 2nd Gen, is selling for $99 at Amazon as of July 21, bringing the tiny Bluetooth speaker under the $100 line.

The current price is $30 below its $129 list price. According to Mashable, every available color of the speaker is included in the markdown.

Price tracker Camelcamelcamel shows the $99 tag is also the lowest price so far for select colors: sandstone, petal pink, sunset peach and twilight blue, according to Mashable’s deal report.

The SoundLink Micro is the Bose pick in Mashable’s roundup of the best portable Bluetooth speakers. The site’s roundup credits the 2nd Gen model with sound upgrades over the previous version, including changes to the frequency range designed to produce fuller bass and clearer audio.

Mashable’s testing notes also say drums sound more forceful, vocals come through with a closer feel, and distortion is reduced at higher volumes compared with what the site heard from the speaker line before.

The speaker is built for travel-size use, with a small frame meant to be easy to carry. Bose lists up to 12 hours of playtime for the model, according to the deal report.

It is also rated IP67 for waterproof protection. Mashable reports the speaker is dust-resistant, shock-resistant and rust-resistant as well, which puts it in the mix for beach bags, pool days and hikes.
