Is Sims on Juliette's side? Silo Season 3 episode 4 gives viewers a fresh reason to ask after Juliette’s escape route leads her straight to the one man she has every reason to distrust.
The Apple TV series has kept its loyalties slippery, but Sims, played by Common, has largely sat in the enemy column for Juliette Nichols, played by Rebecca Ferguson. Episode 4 complicates that tidy read with a medical-bay escape, a helpful nurse and one very loaded meeting in the pump room on level 76.
What happens between Sims and Juliette in season 3 episode 4?
Juliette begins the episode trapped in the silo’s medical bay. Camille, played by Alexandria Riley, sends a trusted soldier to kill her, according to the episode’s events.
The surprise rescue comes from Juliette’s nurse, played by Jacqueline Berces. The nurse had appeared to be working against Juliette, but episode 4 reveals she has been helping her instead.
After saving Juliette, the nurse tells her she was responsible for Juliette getting her memory back. She says she took Juliette off the forgetting drugs. Juliette pushes back, saying she had been spitting them out, but the nurse adds that even before that, someone had asked her to replace the medication.
That line is the episode’s biggest breadcrumb. The nurse does not name the person who gave the instruction, but the reveal means Juliette’s recovery may have had help from inside the system before she realized it.
The nurse then creates a distraction so Juliette can get away from the raiders. Before Juliette leaves, the nurse tells her to go to the pump room on level 76.
When Juliette reaches that room, Sims is waiting there. He tells her she needs to listen to him. Juliette responds by backing out and locking the door, which is understandable given their history.
Is Sims on Juliette's side in Silo?
Episode 4 does not confirm that Sims has switched sides, but it plants enough clues to make the question hard to ignore.
Sims has been unsettled this season after the algorithm chose his wife, Camille, as its human confidante rather than him. Following Juliette’s escape, Sims tells Camille that he knows the nurse’s file well because he helped choose her. He also says that if Juliette and the nurse leave the level, he has an idea where the nurse might take Nichols.
On its face, that sounds like Sims is helping Camille track Juliette. He says the nurse has family down below and offers to handle Juliette himself.
The episode’s details leave another possibility on the table. If Sims knew the nurse well, he may have been the person who asked her to swap Juliette’s medication. If the nurse sent Juliette to the pump room, Sims may have arranged that meeting in advance.
His behavior in the room also matters. When Juliette opens the door, Sims does not stay hidden or immediately attack. He steps into the moment by telling her to listen.
That does not make him Team Juliette yet. Silo has not shown Sims explaining his plan, and Juliette certainly has not accepted him as an ally. For now, episode 4 leaves him in the show’s most dangerous category: maybe useful, maybe lethal, and definitely not someone Juliette can trust without answers.
Silo Season 3 is streaming on Apple TV, with new episodes released on Fridays.
