Katseye Animal video brings Demi Moore into the audition room

Katseye’s “Animal” video has arrived with Demi Moore seated inside the chaos, as the global pop group turns a high-pressure audition setup into a glossy pop breakdown.
The clip, released through HYBE Labels on YouTube, casts Katseye in front of a conference-room panel called Boyseye. The judging group appears as gender-swapped versions of the members, and the performance does not win them over at first.
According to Rolling Stone, the setup nods to the kind of demanding audition process that created Katseye in the first place. In the video, the group watches as its headshots are ripped apart, then regroups for another try.
What happens in Katseye’s Animal video?
The video shows Katseye trying to impress Boyseye, getting rejected, then returning with a sharper look and attitude after help from Moore. Moore’s role puts her in fashion-gatekeeper mode: she rejects weak styling choices and gives the group hard-edged direction before the comeback.
Rolling Stone compared Moore’s character to a warped take on Miranda Priestly, the fashion-world power player from The Devil Wears Prada. The video keeps the action inside that audition-and-reinvention frame, with Moore helping push the group toward the version of itself that can face the room again.
“Animal” was co-written by Ed Sheeran, according to Rolling Stone. The track was produced by Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, who the publication identified in connection with Addison Rae and Adéla, respectively.
The song is set for Katseye’s next EP, Wild, a five-track release scheduled for Aug. 14. It follows “Pinky Up,” which came out before the group’s Coachella debut.
Rolling Stone reported that Wild is Katseye’s first EP released without Manon Bannerman, who remains on hiatus from the group. The publication previously reported that Bannerman’s hiatus was tied to a focus on health and well-being.
What did Katseye say before the premiere?
Katseye marked the premiere with a 30-minute countdown event on YouTube. Rolling Stone reported that Sophia did not appear on the stream, while Lara, Yoonchae, Megan and Daniela joined the celebration.
The members ate animal-style fries from In-N-Out Burger during the countdown and teased more from the Wild era. Daniela said, “We’re really stepping it forward and trying new stuff and it’s looking so good,” according to Rolling Stone.
The August rollout does not stop with the EP. Katseye: Wild Hearts, the group’s movie, is also due for theatrical release in August, Rolling Stone reported.
The film follows Katseye as the group rises in profile and develops as performers around the time of its third EP, according to Rolling Stone. After Wild and Wild Hearts arrive, Katseye is scheduled to head out on the Wildworld Tour.
That tour begins in September and includes dates in North America and Europe. Rolling Stone reported that the itinerary includes two nights at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
