Lego is bringing a brick-built arcade cabinet to the Super Mario lineup, and the new Donkey Kong Arcade set is already available to preorder through the Lego Store.
The set, officially named Lego Super Mario Donkey Kong Arcade (72051), is listed at $199.99, according to the Lego Store details cited in the product listing. Its release date is Aug. 1.
This is not just a shelf piece shaped like a classic cabinet. Lego’s set has 1,367 pieces and is designed around the original Donkey Kong arcade game, complete with a working play feature once the build is finished.
What the Donkey Kong Arcade set includes
The build recreates the look of the arcade machine and adds interactive parts tied to the old-school gameplay. According to the product details, builders can pull a lever to send barrels into motion, then use a joystick and button to move Jumpman and make him jump over them.
The set also includes Donkey Kong, Jumpman and Lady, the characters tied to the arcade scene being recreated in bricks. Lego has also packed the cabinet with recognizable course details, including scaffolds, ladders and hammers.
