Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is putting celebrities back in the hot seat Wednesday night, with Season 5 premiering July 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, according to Rolling Stone.
Jimmy Kimmel returns as host for the new run. Rolling Stone reports that Kimmel has led the game show since its 2020 reboot, and the format again has celebrity pairs chasing a potential $1 million prize for charity.
The setup will be familiar to fans: contestants answer multiple-choice questions that get tougher as the stakes rise. Rolling Stone says the players will have lifelines available, including 50:50, Ask the Audience and Phone a Friend.

How to watch without cable
Because the new season airs on ABC, viewers who do not have cable can watch through live-TV streaming services that carry the network, Rolling Stone reports.
DirecTV is one option listed by Rolling Stone. The service carries ABC in multiple packages, including its MyNews and MySports Genre Packs and its Signature Packages. Rolling Stone says plans start at $44.99 a month and that DirecTV offers a five-day free trial across its plans.
YouTube TV also carries ABC in its plans, according to Rolling Stone. The report lists a free trial ranging from five to 21 days, with pricing at $54.99 for the first month and $64.99 a month after that introductory period.
Sling is listed as a lower-cost route for viewers in markets or plans where ABC is available. Rolling Stone reports that plans with ABC start at $19.99 a month, and notes that Sling does not offer a free trial.
Fubo is another service named by Rolling Stone for streaming ABC. Its packages start at $64.99 a month, with a first-month discount available, and the service usually offers a free trial, according to the report.
Season 5 begins Wednesday, July 22, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
