MTG’s TMNT Team-Up Box falls to $29.99 at Amazon

The Magic: The Gathering Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Team-Up Box has dropped to $29.99 at Amazon as of July 21, down from a listed $49.99 price.

That takes $20 off the crossover set, or about 40% off, according to the Amazon listing. Price tracker camelcamelcamel shows it is the lowest Amazon price it has recorded for the TMNT-themed Magic box.

The sale price also sits below TCGplayer’s listed market price of $36.80, according to the marketplace data cited for the product.

A different kind of Magic night

This is not a standard booster box built around ripping open pack after pack. Turtle Team-Up is a cooperative Magic: The Gathering product for two to four players, with the table working together against an automated enemy system.

Games are expected to run about 45 minutes, according to the product details, which positions the box as a shorter multiplayer session rather than an all-night match.

The set is built around the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with four ready-to-play 60-card decks. Each deck is themed around one of the brothers: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michelangelo.

What comes in the box

The Team-Up Box includes more than the four prebuilt decks. It also comes with a 38-card Enemy deck, which includes 11 bosses and 17 Event Cards designed to increase the pressure as the game goes on.

Players also get four TMNT Play Boosters, with 14 cards in each booster, giving the box a pack-opening element alongside the preconstructed decks.

The package is rounded out with four deck boxes, a punch-out counter sheet, and a tutorial booklet, according to the product listing.

Wizards says the four Turtle decks together include 29 different cards that are new to Magic, giving established players another reason to look beyond the beginner-friendly setup.
