The Percy Jackson season 3 teaser has given fans their first live-action glimpse of The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s fantasy series, with Walker Scobell’s Percy caught in one of the story’s biggest ordeals.
Shown at San Diego Comic Con, the teaser jumps straight to a late-book moment: Percy taking on Atlas’ punishment by holding up the sky. In Riordan’s mythology-packed story, that burden is the curse in the title, and the footage puts Percy under its full weight.
The teaser frames the scene through Percy’s own thoughts. “It was my choice to hold the weight. The Titan’s Curse,” he says in the footage. “I knew the risk, but if I needed to sacrifice myself to save the world, to save my friends... Was it really a choice?”
The clip also includes Percy’s anguished screams, signaling a darker turn for the Disney+ series as it moves into material that has not previously been adapted for the screen.

The Titan’s Curse is the third book in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. In the teaser’s featured scene, the curse refers to Atlas’ burden of holding up the sky, which Percy takes on during a pivotal moment from the book.
The new season marks a first for the franchise on screen. According to the details shown with the teaser, the first two seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians covered stories that had already been made into films, while The Titan’s Curse had not yet received a live-action adaptation.
Season 3 will also introduce Bianca and Nico di Angelo in live action. The characters, described as beloved demigods from the books, are played by Olive Abercrombie and Levi Chrisopulos.
For fans worried that the heavier tone might crowd out the book’s sillier moments, Scobell told Mashable that the season will include the fan-favorite dam jokes from The Titan’s Curse. He also said Season 3 is “even better than I imagined.”
