Polly Pocket has opened the door to Ponyland.
Mattel and Hasbro have unveiled the My Little Pony x Polly Pocket Compact, a $33 collectible that marks the companies’ first collaboration and folds two long-running toy lines into one pocket-size playset.
The compact was announced at San Diego Comic-Con, where Mattel and Hasbro are also showing it at their booths. The set is available now through Mattel, according to the product details shared with the reveal.
The idea is pure toy-shelf crossover: Polly Pocket’s tiny playset format meets the bright, old-school look of Generation 1 My Little Pony. The companies are pitching it to longtime fans of both brands while also putting the characters in front of a new crop of collectors.
What is inside the compact
The outside of the compact features Polly and Starshine artwork. Once opened, it becomes a miniature pony world inspired by original My Little Pony playsets.
Inside, the set includes a fold-down waterfall and castle, a stable area for the ponies and a rainbow ride. The characters can clip into the ride for play, according to the product description.
The figure lineup includes a micro Polly figure alongside My Little Pony characters Firefly and Glory. Both ponies come with brushable tails, one of the throwback details aimed at fans of the earlier toys.
The compact also includes character artwork throughout the set and a rainbow brush accessory.
A tiny crossover with big nostalgia
Mattel’s Polly Pocket line is built around miniature environments that close into compacts, while Hasbro’s My Little Pony brand has long centered on colorful ponies, accessories and fantasy playsets. This release puts those formats together without turning the compact into a display-only item.
