Shania Twain takes Dirty Rosie for a spin on Fallon
Shania Twain performed “Dirty Rosie” on The Tonight Show and told Jimmy Fallon why Harry Styles’ Wembley shows kept her from Taylor Swift’s wedding.

Shania Twain brought “Dirty Rosie” to late night, performing the new single with her band on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.
The track appears on Twain’s new album, Little Miss Twain, which she told Jimmy Fallon is arriving tomorrow. The appearance mixed a live performance, a couch chat and a round of Fallon’s mystery-box game “Box of Lies.”
Twain has said “Dirty Rosie” grew out of memories of the old trucks around her family when she was younger. Speaking recently to Hits Radio Breakfast, she said the vehicles she knew were worn, dirty and far from showroom-ready because her family could not afford new ones.
She also told Hits Radio Breakfast that one particular memory stuck: her father’s red truck, which had faded into a pinkish, rosy shade over time. That image helped shape the song’s title and story.
Why she missed Swift and Kelce’s wedding
During the Fallon interview, Twain also explained why she was not at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. Twain told Fallon she had been invited, but the date clashed with her run performing before Harry Styles in London.
Twain joined Styles at Wembley Stadium for 12 shows, a stretch described during the segment as record-breaking. She told Fallon the invitation felt special, saying the London concerts had the energy of Styles playing to his home city and drawing 90,000 people a night.
Twain said she first crossed paths with Styles backstage at a much smaller show, before he had reached his current level of fame. According to Twain, the two chatted, swapped numbers and later heard from Styles with a personal request tied to his mother’s birthday.
Twain told Fallon that Styles asked whether she would wish his mother a happy birthday because, as he put it, she had introduced him to Twain’s music and made it part of his youth. Twain said she was honored by the wedding invitation from Swift and Kelce, and added that she plans to congratulate Swift properly the next time they meet.
Twain also praised Swift during the interview, telling Fallon she admires Swift’s musicianship and her dedication to telling her own stories.
A new album with big-name guests
Little Miss Twain is Twain’s seventh studio album. According to the album details shared around the Fallon appearance, Zach Dawes produced the record.
The project features guest appearances from Tanya Tucker, the War and Treaty, Ronnie Wood and Josh Homme. “Dirty Rosie” is one of the songs Twain used to preview the set on late night.
Fallon also brought Twain into “Box of Lies,” the recurring Tonight Show bit in which guests inspect strange objects hidden inside boxes and try to fool the other player about what they have seen.
