Fans looking to watch Hungarian GP free this weekend have a few trial-based routes, according to Mashable, with Apple TV access available through Prime Video Channels and other Apple offers for new subscribers.
The Hungarian Grand Prix is listed as the 11th race of the 2026 Formula 1 season, with the weekend taking place at the Hungaroring. Mashable’s guide says Apple TV has the exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for F1, making Apple’s streaming service the key stop for viewers in the United States.
The main free route highlighted by Mashable is a seven-day Apple TV trial through Prime Video Channels. Viewers can use the Prime Video app to add Apple TV, then stream select F1 races, including the Hungarian GP, during the trial window.
How can I watch the Hungarian GP for free?
According to Mashable, U.S. viewers can sign up for a seven-day Apple TV trial through Prime Video Channels and watch the Hungarian Grand Prix without paying during that period. The Apple TV subscription renews at $12.99 per month after seven days unless auto-renewal is canceled.
That route assumes access to Amazon Prime. Mashable notes that new users can also use Amazon’s 30-day free trial, then add the Apple TV channel trial, which would allow the race weekend to be streamed without an upfront payment.
Prime Video Channels are add-on subscriptions inside Amazon’s Prime Video app. In this case, the Apple TV channel gives access to Apple TV programming through Prime Video rather than requiring viewers to start in Apple’s own app.
Hungarian GP weekend schedule
Mashable lists the following on-track schedule from the Hungaroring, with times given in Eastern Time:
- Practice window: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. ET on July 24
- Practice window: 11 a.m. to noon ET on July 24
- Practice window: 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. ET on July 25
- Qualifying: 10 to 11 a.m. ET on July 25
- Race: 9 a.m. ET on July 26
The race weekend follows the Belgian GP, where Mashable reports Kimi Antonelli won again and increased his lead over Lewis Hamilton. The same report says Mercedes is leading the standings, while Ferrari has been reducing the gap.
Other free-trial options for F1 streaming
Mashable also points to a direct seven-day Apple TV free trial for new standalone subscribers. That option does not run through Prime Video Channels and would use Apple’s app instead.
Another option is Apple One, which Mashable says includes Apple TV along with Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple News+ and 50GB of iCloud storage. That bundle comes with a one-month free trial, then costs $19.95 per month after the promotional period, according to the guide.
Apple’s hardware promotion is the longer offer. Mashable says buyers of an eligible iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV can receive three months of Apple TV at no charge, though that route requires a device purchase and is only useful for people already planning to buy new Apple hardware.
As with all trial deals, the catch is the clock. Viewers who only want the Hungarian GP need to cancel renewal before the trial converts to a paid subscription.
