Lyric Medeiros has given the “Big Brother” house a bathroom etiquette problem: TMZ reported that the “BB28” housemate was seen drinking straight from a shared bottle of mouthwash on the show’s live feeds.

According to TMZ, Medeiros was standing at a sink when she picked up a bottle of Crest mouthwash and took liquid directly from the container. The bottle was described by TMZ as a communal item available to the house.

CBS footage showed Medeiros using the mouthwash at the sink, TMZ reported. She then moved the liquid around in her mouth, spit into the sink and rinsed her mouth afterward.

The issue, of course, is the bottle. In a house where contestants share living space, food, bathrooms and supplies while cameras run around the clock, drinking directly from a communal container is the kind of tiny choice that can become a very visible problem.

A repeat reality-TV offense

TMZ noted that this is not the first “Big Brother” moment involving a contestant putting their mouth on something meant for the group.

During “BB21,” a contestant identified by TMZ as Jackson drank milk from the bottle. TMZ also reported that during “BB27,” Mickey took a bottle of juice from the refrigerator, drank from it and put it back.

Medeiros is currently one of the housemates on “BB28,” according to TMZ. The outlet reported that only one contestant has been evicted from the house so far, and that person was not Medeiros.

There was no report from TMZ that the other housemates had addressed the mouthwash moment inside the house. The clip, however, has already made the rounds outside the game, where “Big Brother” viewers tend to treat every fridge raid, bathroom habit and whispered conversation as potential evidence.

The show’s live-feed setup is built for exactly this kind of scrutiny. Contestants are filmed through daily routines that most people would rather keep off-camera, and the audience gets to see the small house habits that can irritate roommates long before they become formal game drama.

For now, the fact pattern is simple: TMZ reported that Medeiros drank from a Crest mouthwash bottle used by the house, CBS footage showed her using it at the sink, and she remains in the game after the first eviction.
