Bruce Buffer has one more dream intro: the Super Bowl
The UFC announcer told TMZ Sports he wants the NFL to call him for an on-field Super Bowl opening at SoFi Stadium.

Bruce Buffer has worked the Octagon for three decades, hit the World Cup stage and even done Super Bowl week, but he told TMZ Sports there is still one roar he wants to deliver in person: the opening of the Super Bowl.
The longtime UFC announcer spoke with TMZ Sports’ Michael Babcock on Wednesday and named the NFL’s biggest night as the event left on his personal wish list.
Buffer said he has already had a brush with the game through a Budweiser Super Bowl commercial. He also said he introduced the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs during Super Bowl week a couple of years ago in Las Vegas at an event held at Allegiant Stadium.
What he has not done, he said, is stand on the field for the Super Bowl itself.
“So, my bucket list personally is to one day in the future have the honor of being requested by the NFL to announce the opening of the Super Bowl,” Buffer told TMZ Sports.
SoFi is right in his backyard
TMZ Sports reported that Super Bowl LXI is set for SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the city where Buffer lives. That local angle was not lost on him during the interview.
Buffer joked that he lives “down the street” from the venue, then made his pitch directly to the league: “Take note, NFL. I’m ready to go.”
The Super Bowl goal comes during a busy stretch for Buffer outside his regular UFC duties. According to TMZ Sports, his recent run has included announcing work connected to the White House and the World Cup.
Buffer was also only days removed from working Argentina vs. Spain when he discussed the NFL dream with TMZ Sports.
World Cup style, UFC life and a new store
Buffer also used Instagram to spotlight his World Cup look, thanking tailor MyKingandBay for a custom jacket he wore for the FIFA World Cup Final. In the post, Buffer said the jacket included a one-of-a-kind lining featuring every participating country and a tribute to the host nations.
TMZ Sports said the full interview also covered Buffer’s embrace with Conor McGregor after McGregor’s UFC 329 injury, Buffer’s experience on the pitch at the World Cup, and the opening of It’s Time, a new sports and collectibles store.
The interview also touched on Buffer’s future with the UFC after 30 years as the promotion’s signature announcer, according to TMZ Sports.
For now, Buffer’s message to the NFL is simple: he has done the commercial, he has done the Super Bowl week stage, and he wants the field next.
