Formula 1’s 2026 season rolls into Spain this month, with the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix set for a race-day start on Sunday, June 14, at 9 a.m. ET and 6 a.m. PT, according to Variety.

The race takes place at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, the longtime Spanish stop on the F1 calendar. Variety reports that opening practice is scheduled for Friday, June 12, with qualifying listed for Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m. ET and 7 a.m. PT.

The stop arrives seven rounds into the season, after F1’s move from Montreal to Spain. Variety reported that Andrea Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes has collected his fifth win of the season and sits on 156 points, with Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton finishing second and Red Bull Racing’s Isack Hadjar completing the podium in the referenced race.

How to watch the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix

Apple TV is carrying the 2026 F1 season, according to Variety. The service is listed as the streaming home for races including the Miami Grand Prix, Grand Prix of the Americas, Las Vegas Grand Prix and the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

Variety reports that Apple TV subscribers can watch F1 coverage as part of the streaming subscription. The service also offers a seven-day free trial for new users, after which viewers can cancel or continue at $12.99 per month or $99 per year, according to the outlet.

Apple TV’s F1 coverage includes race livestreams, warmups, practice sessions, qualifying, post-race analysis, highlights, driver profiles, interviews, team information, replays and other extras, Variety reports. In U.S. TV markets, the package also includes “Drive to Survive.”

The outlet says the grands prix streams are presented in 4K Dolby Vision with 5.1 surround sound. Apple’s Multiview feature also lets viewers watch up to four live feeds at once during races, according to Variety.

Barcelona weekend schedule

Variety lists the main weekend schedule as follows:

  • Friday, June 12: Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2
  • Saturday, June 13: Free Practice 3 and qualifying
  • Sunday, June 14: Race day at 9 a.m. ET and 6 a.m. PT

The Barcelona race is also pitched as one of the glossier stops on the calendar. Variety notes that previous editions have drawn celebrities including Terry Crews and Patrick Dempsey, with more famous faces expected around the Formula 1 Paddock Club this year.

Apple TV’s broader catalog, Variety notes, includes “F1: The Movie,” “Severance,” “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show,” “Presumed Innocent,” “Masters of the Air” and “Killers of the Flower Moon,” alongside its live F1 offering.
