Huda Mustafa is treating the Huda Mustafa Louis Russell split as a reset, telling TMZ she is happy, focused and not looking to jump back into reality TV dating.

TMZ said it caught up with the “Love Island” season 7 alum on Wednesday, where Mustafa gave a blunt update on her romantic life after her breakup with Louis Russell. Asked about dating, she described things as “drier than the Sahara,” according to the outlet.

The message was clear: Mustafa is single, busy and not planning another run through the dating-show machine.

Is Huda Mustafa dating after Louis Russell?

According to TMZ, Mustafa did not say she is seeing anyone. She told the outlet her attention is on herself and her work, rather than finding a new match on television.

Mustafa also said she has not been keeping up with the new season of “Love Island,” TMZ reported. She still sent good wishes to the latest group of Islanders as they deal with life after the villa.

“Love Island” is a reality dating show built around contestants living together while coupling up, recoupling and facing public votes. For cast members who leave the villa with a bigger profile, the attention can continue long after the show ends.

What is Huda Mustafa working on now?

TMZ reported that Mustafa is putting her energy into music and several other projects. Those plans include a perfume line and a possible reality or streaming project of her own, according to the outlet.

That does not mean she is lining up for another televised romance. TMZ reported that Mustafa has no interest in doing another dating show.

The new comments come after Mustafa and Russell announced in May that they had split. At the time, according to TMZ, the pair said they had mutually decided to separate “for the time being” after thinking about what was best for them.

They also said they remained friends and still had love and respect for one another, TMZ reported.

The breakup came after public attention around Russell’s custody dispute with his ex, Nicole Olivera. According to court documents cited by TMZ, Russell claimed Olivera had cut off his access to their son and presented him with an ultimatum involving Mustafa.

TMZ reported that Russell alleged Olivera told him to leave Mustafa or risk not seeing the child. The claim came from Russell in court documents, and the custody dispute was part of the drama surrounding the former couple before the split.

For now, Mustafa’s public update is all about distance from the villa format and a move toward her own ventures. According to TMZ, romance is quiet, the dating-show door is closed, and her next chapter is aimed at work.
