Moebius boards Venice Horizons drama Big Little Things
Michelle Zhou’s Big Little Things will premiere in Venice’s Horizons section, with Moebius Entertainment handling worldwide sales.

Moebius Entertainment has taken on international sales for Big Little Things, Michelle Zhou’s drama headed to the Horizons section of the Venice Film Festival, Deadline reported.
The Hong Kong-based company will handle worldwide sales rights and festival representation for the film, which is arriving at Venice after an earlier industry boost in Taipei.
Big Little Things centers on a woman who goes back to Harbin, her hometown, after spending years in the United States. According to Deadline, the story places her between the life she has made with her girlfriend and the demands she faces from family and community.
The film is a Hong Kong-U.S. collaboration. Deadline reported that it deals with identity, family, cultural displacement and the pressure of choosing between inherited tradition and personal self-determination.
A new title for the Venice slate
The Horizons section is part of the Venice Film Festival lineup, and Zhou’s feature is set to premiere there this year. The selection gives the film a high-profile festival launch as Moebius begins introducing it to international buyers.
Fred Tsui, founder and CEO of Moebius Entertainment, said in a statement to Deadline that Big Little Things marks “the arrival of a distinctive new filmmaking voice.”
Tsui said Zhou captures “the quiet but profound conflicts that define many lives today,” pointing to what he described as the tension between personal truth and inherited roles. He added that Moebius believes global audiences will connect with the central character’s journey.
Before landing its Venice slot, Big Little Things was presented at the 2025 Golden Horse Film Project Promotion in Taipei. Deadline reported that the project received the Activator Market Potential Award there and was selected among promising projects from emerging Asian filmmakers.
Moebius keeps adding festival fare
The pickup continues a recent run of festival-facing acquisitions for Moebius Entertainment. Deadline also reported that the company recently took on worldwide rights to Happily Ever After, from Taiwanese filmmaker Fiona Roan Feng-I.
That film is set for a world premiere in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival, according to Deadline.
With Big Little Things, Moebius now has another Asian filmmaker’s project lined up for the fall festival circuit, this time with Venice as the launchpad and Horizons as the showcase.
