Aaron Rodgers put family time on the feed before heading into what ESPN described as his 22nd and final NFL season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback posted a five-photo carousel on Instagram on Monday showing recent time with members of his family, according to ESPN. The post included his mother, Darla Rodgers, his father, Ed Rodgers, and his older brother, Luke Rodgers.
ESPN reported that one image also showed a girl who appeared to be Rodgers’ niece holding his hand. Rodgers captioned the post: “Another bonding week. #fam”
The Instagram post stood out because ESPN described Rodgers as having previously been estranged from his parents and older brother. The 42-year-old four-time MVP did not add a longer explanation in the caption, according to the report.
The family photos landed as Rodgers prepares for training camp with the Steelers. ESPN reported that Rodgers is set to report to Pittsburgh ahead of his 22nd NFL season, which the outlet identified as his final one.
Family reunion meets football reunion
Rodgers’ next camp also comes with another familiar face. ESPN reported that he will reunite with former head coach Mike McCarthy when he joins the Steelers for camp.
