The Rams alternate uniforms closet is getting two new statement pieces for 2026: “Classic Sol” and “Fearsome White,” a pair of looks the Los Angeles Rams unveiled Thursday.
According to a team release cited by ESPN, the alternates are meant to connect two major periods in franchise history with a current design treatment. One reaches back to the club’s 1951 NFL Championship. The other nods to one of the most famous defensive lines in NFL history.
What are the Rams alternate uniforms?
Classic Sol is the championship throwback of the pair. ESPN reported that the uniform honors the Rams’ 1951 NFL title and the 75th anniversary of that championship.
The look uses a yellow-and-white combination across the jersey and pants. Its key design detail is a set of three sleeve stripes, and the jersey also includes a Sol monogram neck tag, according to ESPN.
Fearsome White goes in a colder direction. ESPN described the uniform as an icy white look honoring the Fearsome Foursome, the Rams’ celebrated defensive front from the 1960s and early 1970s.
That uniform includes a ram horn-style shoulder stripe designed to line up with the team’s classic helmet identity. The Fearsome White set also comes with a separate helmet option: a blue shell with a white ram horn, a callback to the Rams’ 1960s appearance, according to ESPN.
The Fearsome Foursome was the nickname attached to the Rams’ dominant defensive line during that era. The phrase remains one of the franchise’s best-known historical markers, which is why the all-white alternate is built around that reference.
When will the Rams wear the new alternate uniforms?
ESPN reported that both new uniforms are scheduled for prime-time games during the 2026 NFL season.
- Classic Sol is set to debut in Week 2 against the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football.”
- Classic Sol is also scheduled for Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs on “Thursday Night Football.”
- Fearsome White is slated to debut in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers in the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving eve game.
The Rams also shared the reveal on X with a post from the team account featuring the line, “Legacy isn't built in a moment... it's forged.”
For Los Angeles, the rollout gives the team two different history plays in one season: a bright nod to its championship roots and a whiteout tribute to a defensive era that still carries weight with Rams fans.
