Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones make it courthouse official
The Pacers guard and longtime partner Jade Jones legally married in Indianapolis ahead of their planned Aug. 1 wedding ceremony.

Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones have checked the legal box before the big wedding day.
Jones announced Tuesday on Instagram that she and the Indiana Pacers guard are officially married, sharing the news after a courthouse ceremony in Indianapolis. ESPN reported that family and friends were there as witnesses.
Jones kept the caption short and celebratory, writing: “it’s (courthouse) official.”
The post showed a low-key but polished courthouse look for the couple. According to ESPN, Haliburton wore all black, including black Puma suede classic shoes. Jones wore a white dress with white heels and carried a bouquet of white flowers.
The legal ceremony lands just before a bigger date on the couple’s calendar. ESPN reported that Haliburton and Jones plan to hold their wedding ceremony on Aug. 1.
From Iowa State to the altar
Haliburton and Jones have been together for seven years, according to ESPN. Their story stretches back to Iowa State, where Haliburton played for the Cyclones from 2018 to 2020 and Jones was part of the school’s cheerleading team.
During his Iowa State career, Haliburton averaged 10.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists, according to ESPN. He later became the No. 12 pick in the 2020 NBA draft.
Haliburton proposed to Jones on July 28 last year inside Hilton Coliseum, the Cyclones’ home arena, ESPN reported. The courthouse marriage came days before the anniversary of that engagement.
A busy summer off the court
The marriage news arrives during a packed offseason for Haliburton, who is rehabbing after a torn Achilles. ESPN reported that he suffered the injury during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals and was out for the 2025-26 season while recovering.
Even with rehab on the schedule, Haliburton has been visible at major events this summer. ESPN reported that he and Jones attended Michael Rubin’s all-white party and the World Cup final.
Haliburton also appeared at Fanatics Fest in New York as a special guest for LeBron James’ live taping of the “Mind the Game” podcast, according to ESPN. The outlet also reported that he made a WWE appearance at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
Next up for the couple is the formal ceremony on Aug. 1, after a courthouse stop that made the marriage official first.
