The WNBA 3-point contest odds have rookie Azzi Fudd on top as All-Star Weekend opens Friday night in Chicago with two made-for-TV events: the long-range shootout and the debut of Shooting Stars.
CBS Sports reported that the 2026 All-Star Weekend at Wintrust Arena will also mark the league’s 30th anniversary. Coverage is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, with streaming available through fubo, according to the report.
What time is the WNBA 3-point contest?
The WNBA’s All-Star Friday events are set for 8 p.m. ET on Friday, July 24, at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, according to CBS Sports. The night includes the 3-point contest and the first WNBA version of the Shooting Stars competition.
The 3-point contest arrives with a little sideline noise. CBS Sports reported that Sabrina Ionescu, Caitlin Clark and Kayla McBride are not in the six-player field, despite being among the bigger names fans might have expected to see. Ionescu said she was never formally invited, while McBride said she received what she described as a “half-ass invite,” according to CBS Sports.
The players who are in the contest still give the event plenty of pop. Fudd, the No. 1 overall pick this year, is joined by Marina Mabrey, whom CBS Sports identified as this season’s 3-point shooting leader, plus Janelle Salaun, Bridget Carleton, Rhyne Howard and Natisha Hiedeman.
Who is favored to win the WNBA 3-point contest?
DraftKings lists Fudd as the favorite at +210, according to odds cited by CBS Sports. Mabrey follows at +300, with Salaun at +450.

CBS Sports’ panel split its picks between the top two names on the board. Lindsay Gibbs picked Mabrey, pointing to her first All-Star selection, her breakout season with Toronto and her return to Chicago. Jack Maloney also chose Mabrey, citing her previous 3-point contest experience and her shooting résumé.
Isabel Gonzalez picked Fudd, noting that the rookie’s shooting form and quick release could play well if she gets comfortable early. Gonzalez also noted that a rookie and a former UConn player have not won the event before.
What is the WNBA Shooting Stars competition?
Shooting Stars is replacing the usual Skills Challenge for this All-Star Weekend, according to CBS Sports. The format uses teams built from three levels of women’s basketball: a retired WNBA legend, a current WNBA player and a high school player from Nike EYBL.
CBS Sports reported that Minnesota, Seattle, Washington and Dallas/Detroit will be represented in the inaugural field. The listed legend-current player pairings are Rebekkah Brunson with Courtney Williams for Minnesota, Lauren Jackson with Flau’jae Johnson for Seattle, Elena Delle Donne with Shakira Austin for Washington, and Deanna “Tweety” Nolan with Jessica Shepard for Dallas/Detroit.
The high school players in the event are Jezelle “GG” Banks, Ryan Carter, Tatianna Griffin and Morghan Reckley, according to CBS Sports. Their team assignments had not been set as of Friday morning in the report.
