Trump tele-rallies 2026 moved into high gear Saturday as President Donald Trump called into six phone events from Mar-a-Lago for Republican candidates in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Michigan and Florida, NBC News reported. The calls came three days before the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
Trump said more telephone events were planned for Monday, Nov. 2. Campaign schedules and the number of calls can shift quickly in the final days before Election Day.
Which candidates did Trump back in Ohio?
Trump used one of Saturday’s tele-rallies to support Ohio Republican candidates, according to CBS News. In a Truth Social post, he named gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Jon Husted, Rep. Mike Carey and congressional candidates Eric Conroy and Derek Merrin.
CBS News described the Ohio event as the second in a set of six tele-rallies Trump was holding around the country. NBC News later reported that he had completed six calls Saturday, though it did not provide a candidate-by-candidate list for every event.
A tele-rally is a campaign event conducted by phone rather than at a physical venue. Trump told reporters Friday that he wanted to try the format and called it an effective campaign tool, a personal assessment not independently measured in the reports.
Kansas and Iowa rallies return to the calendar
Trump had initially canceled planned weekend appearances in Kansas and Iowa in favor of a wider phone-based campaign push. But the White House later rescheduled both in-person rallies for Sunday, Nov. 1, NBC News reported.
Earlier reports described a much broader plan. The Republican National Committee said tele-rallies were planned for nearly 20 states as part of a 72-hour campaign sprint, according to an Associated Press report. The Hill separately reported planned virtual events in at least 19 states. Those were announced plans, rather than confirmation that every event took place.
Trump also announced a Monday evening tele-rally for Julia Letlow, the Republican nominee in Louisiana’s Senate race, and House Speaker Mike Johnson. WWL-TV reported that no time or public-attendance details had been released when it published its report.
The president announced Saturday’s calls on Truth Social and urged voters to pick up the phone, NBC News reported. He is scheduled to return to the in-person trail Sunday in Kansas and Iowa.
